Information Development Programme

Community Connections has been developing ways of informing the local community about social inclusion activities over the last 5 years and to date has been successful with the production of a high quality quarterly newsletter (current circulation 2000) and monthly community news update (current circulation 750) that have both received positive feedback from a wide spectrum of people in the local community.  The project has been successful in working with groups to aid production of their newsletters, books and community information cards.  This has aided both the flow of information locally and the development of these skills in the local community.  Community Connections will be continuing this work in its developmental role to enhance the flow and exchange of information between groups and to and from the local community.

Aim – To raise the profile and inform the local community of the content and extent of community activities locally; to encourage the recognition and valuing of community activities and to promote positive relationships between community groups and within community life.
